The Work We Take On
We fix and replace garage doors, openers, torsion and extension springs, tracks, rollers, cables, and panels. Most of our calls come from houses built between 1943 and 2012, with a median build year around 1958, which means a lot of the doors we open up still have original hardware nobody makes anymore. Side-mounted torsion setups, single-panel steel doors, and openers from a couple of generations back are routine for us, not surprises.
We also handle straightforward new-door installs when a repair doesn't make sense anymore - a door that's been patched three times, or a track so bent from age that replacing it costs more than a new unit. If your opener is newer and just needs a sensor aligned or a remote reprogrammed, that's a quick job too.
One limit worth stating plainly: we don't do fence gates, commercial roll-up doors, or structural garage framing. If a job needs that kind of work, we'll tell you upfront rather than take it on and figure it out as we go. Our mild coastal-influenced climate here means we don't see the ice-jam or extreme-heat warping calls that garages in harsher regions deal with, but decades-old steel and worn cable still fail on their own schedule, regardless of weather.
